OSDP™ Remote Reader Firmware Upgrades
The Ethos reader line is the first reader line in the market engineered using the Security Industry Association’s (SIA) OSDP™ standard, V2.1.7. This standard enables secure channel and upgrade capabilities remotely from the access control host system.
Our Ethos reader line is proven to deliver the following functionality:
- Bi-directional communication between reader and system over a secure channel
- Firmware updates from host to the reader over Secure Channel
- Reader configuration changes pushed from the host to reader over Secure Channel
OSDP™ Autodetect
We have invented a way to significantly simplify the transition from Wiegand to OSDP™ by offering a unique patented feature known as OSDP™ Autodetect℗. By utilizing existing wiring, this auto-detection feature built into our readers, further enriches the concept of not having to touch the reader again once it is installed.
Prox Filter
The patented Wavelynx “Prox Filter” enables the reader to filter out the low frequency transmission on a Dual-Technology credential. This allows for a smooth, gradual and seamless transition from legacy Proximity technology to secure Smart technology.
