The advent of NFC (Near Field Communication) technology has revolutionized the way we interact with access control solutions, making them more convenient, user-friendly and secure. Instead of using bulky, plastic access cards, users can simply tap their smartphones or other NFC-enabled devices to access doors, elevators and other corporate spaces. All while your team remotely manages their access credentials.
But new digital technology often carries with it the misconception that it must be difficult or laborsome or expensive to implement. We’re here to set the record straight by illustrating just how quick and simple NFC Wallet integration is—no matter your circumstance.
Spoiler: You could be up and running in a matter of days.
Already have Wavelynx readers installed?
Wavelynx readers are known for their reliability and scalability, and it shows: Every single reader can be quickly updated in order to support NFC Wallet. Simply reach out to your Wavelynx contact and tell them you’re interested in updating yours. They will set you up in no time and connect you with our Technology App Providers to complete the process. Easy enough, right?
Have a reader from a different provider installed?
Good news: If an existing access control system is in place with a different reader vendor, the NFC Wallet can still likely be integrated.
Give us a call and we’ll help you determine the make and model of your existing reader and physical credential technology. On the off-chance that we’re not compatible, we’ll just need to quickly replace the reader. But don’t worry—we have a habit of adding to our list and expanding compatibility options to ensure companies like yours are able to implement Wavelynx’s NFC Wallet solution without any hassle. If we don’t currently work with a partner, we’ll likely begin those conversations with them.
Note: If you need a test run, we’ll happily send a demo reader that comes pre-loaded with the Wavelynx NFC Wallet solution.
Have a white-labeled reader installed?
White-labeled readers are customized access control solutions tailored to specific providers—you can see a full list of our access reader providers here. Integrating NFC Wallet with a white-labeled reader involves a little coordination with the provider, but the process is generally straightforward.
Here’s what to do once we determine the make and model of your existing reader and physical credential technology:
